Which parts of the garden can we use?

We like to reserve the lawn between our house and the drive wall for our own use, but you are welcome to wander around the rest of the garden.  Please use the lower part of the field  across the drive for ball games.

Where can we park the car?

Please park your car in the space provided, except when loading/unloading.

Do we have to be careful what is put down the toilet?

We are on septic tank drainage. Please do not put nappies, tampons etc. down the lavatory. Water stop cock is under the kitchen sink

Where can we find charcoal and lighters for the bbq?

Charcoal and firelighters for the BBQ are in the shed on the left of the back lawn as are logs. The grid is inside the back door below the kitchen worktop.

Do you have any matches?

Matches can be found are in top left cupboard above the cooker.

When and where do we put out our rubbish?

Refuse is collected from the main road/drive end early on Mondays. Please place in the dustbins any that you have generated by Sunday night.

I am having some post delivered to us. Where will this be delivered?

Post is delivered to the box at the drive end.

Can we ask you for advice or help with problems?

We are very happy to give advice on places of interest or deal with other problems.
Please don't suffer in silence, you are on holiday.  If you need something let us know.

Can we use the games room? Where can we find darts and table tennis balls?

We have more table tennis balls and darts. Darts are in the desk - parents please issue these at your discretion. PLEASE DO NOT KICK STONES AT THE GLASS GAMES ROOM DOORS or throw darts at other than the board and its surround.

Can we override the settings on the boiler?

The boiler time-clock is set for heating and hot water separately. Press “Advance” to override clock.

Are there any instructions for the appliances?

Instruction leaflets for appliances are in the kitchen drawer. Torch and matches are in top left cupboard above the cooker. Loo rolls are also above the cooker.

Where can I find more toilet rolls?

Toilet rolls are above the cooker.

Is there a speed limit on the drive?

Please do not speed on the drive. The speed limit is 15 mph.

Is there a visitors book that we can look at and sign?

Please sign the visitors book before you leave.  Others like to know of places to go and you will also find useful information and reviews of places to go.

When do we need to leave the cottage on our last day?

PLEASE LEAVE THE COTTAGE CLEAN AND TIDY AND BY 10.AM (This is stated in the Helpful Holidays book) as we like to ensure that the standard for the next holiday makers is not jeopardised. If you have a breakage before Friday please tell us at the time and not just as you leave.
